Tech for Retail 2025: We did it!
How does Shelf Service continue to innovate to support brands and retailers?

Innovation has no borders and our presence at Tech For Retail proved exactly that.
By attending Tech For Retail in Paris on 24 and 25 November, we reached a new milestone. It was the first time we presented our digital offering outside the Benelux. Tech For Retail, a major European hub for retail digital transformation, allowed us to showcase what we do best: versatile digital solutions, remotely manageable and robust enough to be deployed worldwide.
Our presence in Paris also reflects our commitment to staying close to the innovations reshaping the retail industry. In recent months, our Head of Innovation travelled to Dubai and will soon visit other global tech hubs to meet hardware specialists. This is what drives our approach: identifying the best technologies wherever they are, integrating them, and making them accessible to our clients.
This global openness combined with strong technical requirements allows us to deliver tailor-made solutions at a controlled cost. We work with partners capable of developing what we envision, following a precise specification and within very short timelines.

Digital signage
We presented our digital signage solutions, including classic displays and e-paper screens. E-paper attracted particular attention thanks to its: low energy consumption, easily replaceable batteries, no cabling required, simple content updates and zero consumption once the image is displayed. A major asset for equipping large retail networks sustainably and cost-efficiently.
Loyalty kiosks
Our self-service loyalty kiosks also gained a lot of interest. We showcased several models, including some developed specifically for Carrefour. We can design and roll out many more, tailored to each retailer’s operational and marketing needs. Loyalty kiosks make the customer experience interactive and rewarding, and they can also be used in marketing campaigns for example, to validate contest participation.
Skin kiosk & beauty kiosk
The third highlighted product is a true showcase project. Imagined in Brussels, designed fully to measure - both hardware and software - to offer an intuitive and seamless experience. This project was created in response to a request from a para-pharmacy retailer who wanted a personalised tool to guide customers in their health-related choices. We developed hardware adapted to retail environments that enables in-store skin diagnostics, scoring on 14 criteria, and personalised product recommendations. The first kiosks are in the testing phase, and early feedback is extremely positive. Building on the same technology, we are also developing a solution for a beauty brand: a kiosk that simulates the application of makeup (eyes, lips, cheeks) with real-time visual results directly on the user’s face. The effect is stunning!!!
